Track Friday 2020

Friday, November 27th

Track Friday is a day of giving back by supporting local charities while burning off some Thanksgiving calories. On Friday, November 27th, Cranford residents are invited to run or walk virtually or at the Ray White Track, and participate in trackside workout sessions from Garden State Athletics and Alluem Yoga. Participants are also encouraged to create a personal fundraising campaign on our MightyCause Leaderboard, or support a fellow community member’s campaign. Last year, the Cranford community raised over $32,000!

The Jaycees have set up a special fundraiser on the Leaderboard to raise money for three causes that touched the Cranford community in 2020. The Jaycees have nominated beneficiaries that support COVID-19 Relief, Suicide Prevention and Mental Health, and Pediatric Cancer.

An Introduction to Suicide Prevention

Everyone in our community can support individuals at risk for suicide. Attendees will gain a better understanding of suicide risk, a heightened awareness to identify warning signs, and an understanding of the importance to get at-risk individuals to life-assisting helpers in the community.

The event will be streamed via Zoom at https://zoom.us/j/4201381971 starting at 8:00 PM on 12/3 and will run roughly 45 minutes with Q&A to follow.

Cranford Santa Gift Delivery

Registration is now open! - Click Here to register

Time to once again partner with Santa and the Cranford Police and Cranford Fire Departments to collect donations for less-fortunate children and to deliver gifts to Cranford homes!

After registering, drop off an unwrapped toy(s) to donate and the wrapped toy(s) for your home at our drive-thru drop-off on Wed 12/2 (4pm-8pm) OR Sat 12/5 (9am-1pm) at our **NEW** drop-off location: the Cranford Community Center at 220 Walnut Ave.

On the night of the 11th and 13th, Santa will be making deliveries and bringing cheer. Of course he will not be able to enter homes this year, but he's looking forward to greeting all the good boys and girls in town and delivering presents.

For over 50 years the Cranford Jaycees have combined networking, community activity, individual development, and training while making friends for life. Members participate in volunteer community events, establish rewarding friendships and professional contacts, and the experience the gratification of servicing humanity.

Throughout the year, the Cranford Jaycees hold many events to raise funds that go towards the Jaycees Scholarship Fund. Additionally, the Jaycees are frequently called upon to assist with manpower to help run events in town.
